Food Technology Intelligent Inspection

RMIT University R&D

Researchers at RMIT University are developing intelligent inspection systems that help food manufacturers to ensure the quality of their products, both visually and with other senses. These inspection systems are simple to operate by shop floor personnel and can accommodate the stringent hygienic requirements of food handling environments. Trade Start Advisor

Introducing Local Advisor Craig Malcolm

TradeStart is a Federal Government funded program that helps small to medium sized enterprises (SMEs) become sustainable exporters. The program is available for Ai Group members and other eligible SMEs. TradeStart is not a grant scheme.  It provides SMEs with a flexible package of market research, counselling, training and practical support to help them achieve their first export sales and future success.

Victorian Government Super Trade Mission to the Middle East

February 2013

Registration Closes 30 November 2012

The Middle East and North Africa (MENA) is Victoria’s second-largest value-added export region after South East Asia. The region is a significant importer of Victorian goods, representing the single largest importer of Victorian automobiles and a substantial importer of food and beverage.

This Super Trade Mission will allow participants to gain a firsthand understanding of key markets in the region, with the opportunity to showcase products and forge new connections with potential qualified customers, business partners and investors.

Victorian Trade Mission to Food and Hotel Indonesia

10 to 13 April 2013

Indonesia, the world’s 16th largest economy, is also Victoria’s 4th largest export food market capturing 6 per cent of all Victorian food exports to a value of $441 million in 2011/12. 

Eligible participants can be entitled to a $2,000 subsidy, concessions space, networking events and business matching services.

ICT Survey

Information & Communications Technology

Northern Melbourne Regional Development Australia (NMRDA) has launched an online survey of businesses and organisations across northern Melbourne to identify current gaps and barriers to e-solutions utilisation.  The survey, which takes 5-10 minutes to complete will help gain a snap shot of how ICT is being used by businesses, and what the future needs will be.

Participants will receive an individual report based on their survey results that identify potential ICT gaps and give ICT recommendations.

CleanTech Program Assistance

Do you need technical assistance?

Completing the grant applications for the AusIndustry CleanTech Program can be daunting, especially the calculations needed to compare cost and carbon savings.  The PFG is currently investigating partnerships to assist you to gain the necessary technical data to complete the applications.  If you would like assistance, email mym@whittlesea.vic.gov.au or call 9217 2148.
